Monthly Keysis Brainstorming Meeting – Nov. 7
October 26, 2010
Starting on Nov. 7 – the first Sunday of the month and every month after – we’ll meet in Angela Hall at St. Thomas for a Keysis Brainstorming Meeting.
Hey, what’s this all about? Well, here’s the scoop. Keysis has grown quite a bit in the last year and a half, both in terms of teen interest and involvement and our dreams for the future. It’s time to involve LOTS more people in the planning and running of the ministry! We need YOUR help.
At each monthly brainstorming meeting, you will be able to:
- Have input into plans for the coming month in Keysis;
- Volunteer to help with skits, prayer, teachings, music, games, and more;
- Plan a social or service activity for the month;
- Brainstorm ideas for trips, service weeks, and other big activities; and
- Talk about how you think Keysis is going, how it could be even better, and present ideas for new things we might do.
Teens and parents, please join us – we need your help! Sunday, Nov. 7, 4:30-6 p.m., St. Thomas Church, Angela Hall.
Halloween Night with Keysis
October 26, 2010
When you think of Halloween, what comes to mind? For a lot of people, Halloween has become synonymous with candy, costumes, scary stuff, witches, ghosts and pumpkins. But do you know the Christian connection to the holiday?
For the Oct. 31 Keysis meeting – on Halloween! – we’ll talk a bit about “the other side” of Halloween that you might not know a lot about. Then we’ll spend the rest of the evening in fun, fellowship, and craziness.
Put on your costume and come to Keysis next Sunday! We start with a meal, as usual — 6:30 -8:30 p.m. Bring a friend. Please make sure your costume is appropriate. Thanks!
Parish Mass Visits and Keysis Masses
October 25, 2010
Holy Mass is the central mystery of our Catholic Faith. One of the ways we give our love back to God is to fully participate in the Mass.
In addition to our monthly Keysis Family Mass on the last Sunday of the month, we will begin in November to participate in Mass at one Catholic church in the Decatur area each month – usually a Saturday evening Mass, except for Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Church, which is a Sunday Mass.
The Keysis members have been talking about this for some time and we now have the schedule in place. The complete schedule is listed under the calendar tab on the Keysis Web site: http://www.keysis.net/calendar/keysis-mass-schedule
