About Keysis
Keysis Youth Ministry combines the fun and energy of a youth group with the teaching and formation in the Catholic faith. Mix in some music, food, drama, retreats, liturgies, trips, leadership training, socials, and service projects. Wrap it in prayer and you have a powerful experience that leads young people to deepen their love for Christ and His Church.
Keysis invites all high school students to come see what God has in store for their lives. Each evening is a unique and powerful encounter with our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Great music, fun games, great teachings, small groups, prayer, dinner and more. It’s Relevant, Relational, and Real! Come on out and bring a friend.
Keysis Youth Ministry is about Evangelism: It passionately seeks to share the Good News of Jesus with others. It makes the love of God real in the real world; it takes virtual reality and makes it a virtuous reality where real life and real answers meet. Youth Ministry presents the Gospel in the language, the methods, and culture of today’s youth – mySpace meets God’s grace. Biblically speaking, it works the soil and plants the seed.
Keysis Youth Ministry is about Discipleship: It’s about building relationships between youth and loving adults who will share Christ and His Church. The relationships give the Holy Spirit a voice to form teens into faithful and faith-filled followers of Jesus.
Keysis Youth Ministry is about Service: The fruit of discipleship is love in action, service. Faith is completed by the works it moves us to accomplish. Keysis promotes and equips youth for loving service within their families, their Church, and their world.
Who can join Keysis?
Keysis is open to all students of high school age, pre- or post- Confirmation, Catholic or non-Catholic. This is not a club. It is a community where ALL are loved as they are and called to grow in their faith in Jesus. Invite a friend to join you!
When and Where?
Keysis occurs Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Angela Hall at St. Thomas Church, Decatur . Keysis begins each Sunday with a meal, so come hungry! Special events may have different times and places. Please watch the schedules.
How do I register for Keysis?
No registration is needed for the Sunday night Keysis meetings, just come as you are.
